CLF
Overview
The Conservative
Leadership Foundation (CLF) was founded in 1990 by John Capobianco
and John Mykytyshyn. With a proven legacy of success, the CLF is the
best and most unique political training school in Canada. These graduates
were trained in the techniques of modern political campaigning by
some of the most talented and experienced political authorities
of our time.
Weekend
Retreats
The CLF is most
famous for its weekend retreats. These retreats focus on training
youth through a combination of lectures, hands on workshops, homework
assignments and team activities. CLF weekends have been referred
to as political boot camp which brings smiles to the
faces of committee members. It has been said that those who survive
a CLF Weekend will find the intensity and variety of an election
campaign very familiar.
One
Day Mini Sessions
Always trying
to innovate through learning the CLF in 2002 inaugurated the Mini
Conferences. These one-day sessions focus on one or two topics.
CLF One Day
seminars, take a subject that may normally appear as one of many
on a conference agenda and explore the topic with much greater depth
and detail. The best, most practical cutting edge political campaign
advice, tips and information are presented and studied.
CLFs first Mini
Conference covered fundraising. That session hosted a wide range
of speakers with vast experience, who covered an enormous variety
of topics. Attendees were given the opportunity to listen and learn
from some of the best in the field.
Another Conference
that is being planned for 2006 is focused on Nominations. The Conference
will include presentations, discussions and case studies including
the ever popular Common Mistakes made 90% of the time by losing
campaigns
. among others.
The next CLF Mini session will reflect back on the recent Federal
election. By sharing the experiences of those who were heavily
involved, we believe we can be better prepared for future elections
(municipal 2006, provincial 2007 and the anticipated federal election
in ?) There will be panel discussions and an opportunity for questions
and answers from some of the most prominent and influential political
operatives, activists, and experts from the Conservative movement
in Canada.
