FAQ
Conservative Leadership Foundation

Who Should Attend CLF?

  • Campaign managers, candidates, campaign workers, volunteers, party activists, those who want to play a key role on a campaign and those who just like to hear war stories.  Anyone who believes they can still learn something from the experiences of others or who wants to share their experiences with like minded Conservatives who want to win next time!

Is the CLF for youth only?

  • The CLF was founded with training youth as the core target group.     Since 1990, we have successfully trained over 1,000 young conservatives at our Weekend Retreats.  The One Day Mini Conferences are designed for Conservatives of all ages.  Not only the young or young at heart can learn.  The CLF believes fully in the concept of Life Long Learning.

What is the program?

  • CLF does not believe in a cookie-cutter approach. Each situation, each campaign, each candidate is different. But, the lessens that can be learned from the mistakes and successes of others can be adapted to almost every future quest for victory. Conference and Retreat programs are customized for each session by the CLF committee to reflect the most relevant and interesting course material. This is accomplished through presenting an engaging program and a forum for the best and brightest presenters the Conservative movement can offer.

Are there networking opportunities?

  • CLF one day sessions always include informal lunches to allow participants to network. As well there is often an impromptu social held at the end of the day for those who just can't get enough!

Who are the speakers?

  • The high quality of CLF speakers has always been one of the highlights of our events. In the past, some of the most talented and experienced political operatives have shared their knowledge with participants. We are always on the lookout for the most experienced campaigners who have something new to share, from their last electoral outing.

Will there be an opportunity to ask questions?

  • During each segment, ample time will be provided for participants to ask questions and share their own experiences and "lessons learned."

Will the agenda run on time?

  • CLF events are well known to be full and unique in political circles for running on time.

Why attend the CLF mini sessions ?

  • CLF believes that through training and by sharing the experiences of seasoned campaign veterans we can be better prepared for upcoming elections (municipal in 2006, provincial 2007 and the anticipated federal election in ?).
